Cornerstone Robotics (CSR) is dedicated to delivering accessible surgical systems that allow patients around the world to benefit from the highest standards of care.
Founded in 2019, we have assembled an international team of surgical robotics experts, clinical professionals, and expertise from a diverse range of disciplines. To accelerate our growth, we have established key innovation hubs in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, London(UK) and Portsmouth(UK).
We aspire to create safe, efficient, and precise surgical robots that enhance and extend surgical capabilities. This commitment forms the foundation for developing next generation technologies and penetrate surgical specialties of the future.
Cornerstone Robotics has multiple pipelines for the development of robots for soft tissue surgery and other surgical specialties. Our first-generation Endoscopic Surgical System is developed entirely in-house and has completed the clinical trials in both Hong Kong and Mainland. With multiple production facilities established in Greater Bay Area and corresponding supply chain support, we offer safe and accessible surgical robots to the world.

Completed the Proof-of-Concept.

Successfully completed dozens of laboratory assessments on cadavers and animal models in Hong Kong.
2021
June
Surgical robot prototype successfully tested in porcine model in Shenzhen, China.

Completed Series B financing round of over USD 75 million.
The total amount of financing raised to date is approximately USD 120 million.
2022
June
Featured in the showcase of outstanding enterprises for the 25th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Handover and conducted technology demonstration for China's national leaders.
August
Completed the first human clinical trials in urology and general surgery in Hong Kong.
2023
June
Completed Series B+ financing round of over US$90 million.

Successfully completed a multi-center human clinical trial.
2024
June
Formed partnership with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) Medical School to build a world-class surgical robotics training program.

CSR's first robotic surgical system, Sentire®, registration approval by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

Signed a tripartite strategic cooperation memorandum with the National Health Insurance Group of Singapore and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University.
